File>"my documents" is close to "favorite" list, but not the same ! If you put just links to your files in "my documents", the path will be requested when saving the document (quite boring to find it each time ,especilly for a favorite file). Any suggestion ?
You're right; seems to work now; don't know what happened the 1st time I tried. The problem is however than you don't know the full path of the linked file. You can have several files with the same name to edit, but not in the same directory. Quite boring to rename each link to give some clue on what the file you load is really. "My documents" is by default on the windows partition, which is then not so convenient when you work from different system partition. Well, lets's say not major issue, but.... even the very small Metapad (35Ko) has a favorite list !!
Don't want to insist, but still think that favorite file list would be welcome. Using "root\My docs" folder to store favorite file shorcuts, and which is partition dependant is not so easy to manage compared to a simple favorite list like Metapad (35K prog / http://liquidninja.com/metapad/ )
I searched for this function as well. I use the editor to held a few templates of letters while I have to write emails and documentation notes.... This function Isn´t that much difficult and would be handy, or give me a console parameter switch so I can name folder to open all files from this on start up. Would be great enough for me.
